Tuxedo Park Community Association recently asked Recovery Acres (1835 House) about the land they purchased on the East side of Center Street between 28th and 29th ave NE. This development permit went in front of the City of Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal board in 2012 and was approved. No development has yet happend on the plot of land.
Here is the reply from Recovery Acres:
“Our development permit was approved last November and we have two years from that date to start construction. Recovery Acres Society has made major changes to its Board of Directors, key management and has hired a professional fundraiser to ensure construction of our new facility will commence well before our permit expiry date. A fundraising committee has been formed and we are very confident that we will have the necessary financing in place shortly.
We are very excited about our new Facility and look forward to being part of the community of Tuxedo Park.“
