Tuxedo Park Community is proud to support a grassroots initiative called Bikes = Joy. This community project involves collection of used kids’ bikes to be donated to Hull Family & Child Services. They are a non-profit organization that helps children, youth and families who experience mental illness, behavioural problems, learning disabilities, neglect, abuse and family breakdown. Hull Services provides programs for 2000-3000 kids/year therefore there is a huge need for kids’ bikes.
On May 28, 2017 between 1 PM – 5 PM, please bring your outgrown kid’s bikes to the Tuxedo Park Community Parking lot. Other self-propelled items such as scooters and tricycles will be accepted. Items that require some mechanical TLC are acceptable.
Let’s pass on the JOY that your kids experienced using bikes to families who are in need. Contact email@example.com if you are interested in volunteering or for more info.
